Lee County vital recordsAlthough Alabama first made it a requirement for counties to submit their vital statistics in 1908, Limestone County public records typically go back to when the county was founded in 1818. But since recordkeeping wasn't mandatory, the vital records between these years is sporadic and incomplete. Birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates can be found at the Lee County Clerk's office. Certified certificates can also be obtained at the Lee County Health Department. The office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
