The Livington County Recorder of Deeds has a huge amount of records on file at its office, and the offices makes it a point to make those records easily accessible to all those who wish to research them. The office also provides two public computer terminals to view those records which have been electronically transcribed. Records at the Recorder's office are dated from 1837, the year of the county's formation, until August 2001. The office is located in the Livingston County Courthouse at 700 Webster St in Suite 6 in Chillicothe, MO. Also in Chillicothe is the Livingston County Health Center, in charge of recording and distributing death and birth certificates, at 800 Adam Drive.
