Macomb County vital recordsThe Macomb County Clerk website is packed with information on how to research and obtain vital records from the county. Birth, death, marriage, and military discharge records are all available through a variety of methods, including requesting copies via fax, by mail, in person, and online using Google Checkout. The regular genealogy research hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00AM till 11:30AM, and Wednesdays from 8:00AM till 11:30AM and again from 2:30PM till 4:00PM. Additional hours are also available; individuals are advised to check the online calendar. The County also utilizes the FastPass System to allow individuals the ability to schedule research appointments at the office online. Birth records listed from 1867 to 1900 are open for public research, as well as death records from 1867 to 1934, marriage records from 1819 to 1925, and divorce records from 1857 to the present. Some older records are stored on microfilm to better preserve them.
