Mississippi marriage records are available for a fee from the state Department of Health office only for marriages from January 1926 to July 1, 1938, and after January 1942. Marriage records not available from the state office may be obtained for a fee from the Circuit Clerk in the county where the license was issued. See http://courts.ms.gov/trialcourts/circuitcourt/circuitclerks.pdf for a list of Mississippi circuit court clerks. The Vital Records Department does not maintain Mississippi divorce records. For a fee, a five-year search of the divorce indexes is available for January 1, 1926 to June 30, 1938, and for January 1, 1942 to present. In addition, a five-year search is available to locate the county where the divorce was granted, the book, and the page number in the Chancery Clerk's office where it was recorded. See http://courts.ms.gov/trialcourts/chancerycourt/chanclerks.pdf for a list of Mississippi Chancery court clerks and to obtain these Mississippi vital records.
