Pierce County vital recordsThe Pierce County Register of Deeds, who also carries the duties of the County Clerk, is housed within the county courthouse at 111 W Court St in Room #1 in the county seat of Pierce, NE. Since the positions are combined, a large number of county records can be found there, including marriage and property records, and are available for research. The Clerk of the District Court is at the same address in Room #12 and maintains court records, both criminal and civil. Both offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM until 4:30PM and have staff on hand able to help individuals and researchers locate and retrieve records. The Tacoma-Pierce County Genealogical Society serves both counties and also offers a fair number of records online as well as welcoming those who need additional help finding specific items to submit research queries to the Society.
