Richland Parish, LA Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records
Founded in 1868 and named for the fertile lands in the area, Richland Parish has always had a small, but steady population, staying at approximately 20,000 people living there since 1920. Only four towns exist in the parish, including Delhi which has the Downtown Delhi Historic District, listed with the National Register of History Places. The district was built in the mid 1800s and has been kept in its original state since then. The parish is fairly low income, with over 25% of the population living under the official poverty line.
