Rockingham County vital recordsBoth the Rockingham Clerk of the Superior Court and the Registry of Deeds are located within the Rockingham County Courthouse at 10 Route 125 in the county seat of Brentwood, NH. The Clerk maintains court records, which includes divorces, while the Registry maintains real estate records that date back from 1643 to the present. All of the records with the Registry office are open to the public, and all are viewable on the computer terminals there. Records such as birth and death certificates are available through the Town Clerks of each town in Rockingham, as well as the Division of Vital Records Administration. The Division also has divorce and marriage records on file, and all of them are dated from 1640 to the present. The Division is a branch of the State Archives which operates a library in Concord, NH, that provides computer terminals, microfilm readers, and other equipment for researchers.
