Roseau County vital recordsThe Treasurer for Roseau County is the official custodian of the vital records for the area, and serves to distribute copies to qualified individuals and offer them to the public as research materials. The county was founded in 1894, and all records the Treasurer has available are dated from about then. His office is located in the Roseau County Courthouse on 606 5th Ave SW in Room 140 in the town of Roseau, MN. Those interested in viewing and researching public records can go there from Monday through Friday, 8:00AM until 4:30PM. Appointments can also be scheduled by contacting the office at (218) 463-1215. The Historical Society of Roseau County also operates the Roseau County Historical Museum and Interpretive Center which is a center dedicated to compiling and displaying local records and indexes and making them available to the public. Charges for nonmembers are $5 per visit, and $20 per hour to retain their research staff.
