San Juan County vital recordsSan Juan County was named by the Utah State Legislature for the San Juan River, itself named by Spanish explorers in honor of Saint John. It is bordered by more counties than any other county in the US. Information on obtaining certified copies of marriage licenses can be obtained at the San Juan County Clerk. All other Utah vital records are ordered at the state level from the Utah Health Department's Office of Vital Records and Statistics. Birth certificates are $18.00 per certified copy, or $8.00 for each additional copy ordered at the same time through Silverother vital records are provided through VitalChek at various fees.
