In Yamhill County, Oregon, copies of birth and death certificates may be obtained from the County Public Health Department (http://www.co.yamhill.or.us/ph/index.asp?sel=20) during the first six months after the event. Eligible persons who request copies of records are charged $20.00 for the first copy; each additional copy is $15.00. After six months, requests are directed to the state office of Vital Statistics (http://public.health.oregon.gov/BirthDeathCertificates/GetVitalRecords/Pages/index.aspx). Internet orders are handled through VitalChek (http://www.vitalchek.com/). The fee for one copy is $32.50, which includes a $12.50 processing fee. Only immediate family members or legal representatives may order vital records for another individual.
