The Social Security Death Index was provided by the Social Security Administration (SSA). It contains data from 1937 to 2011. Entries include: name, date of birth, date of death, state or country of residence, and zip code of last residence.

The California Death Index was compiled by the California Department of Public Health, Center for Health Statistics and covers 1905 to 1997. Records include the following information, when available: name, gender, death date, death location, birth date, birth location, mother's maiden name, and father's last name.

This collection of Texas death records covers years 1964 to 2010. Data fields when available include name, parents, birth date, gender, and birth location.

This collection of Ohio death records was provided by the Ohio Department of Health Center for Public Health Statistics and Informatics. It contains data from 1959 to 2012.

This collection of Florida death records was compiled by the Florida State Department of Health, and covers years 1970 to 1998. When available each record contains the name of the deceased, death date, location, birth date, and age at death.

This collection of veteran's burial records was provided by the National Cemetery Administration Department of Veterans Affairs. This database contains information on veterans buried in VA National Cemeteries, and other veteran's and private cemeteries.

This collection of Kentucky death records was compiled by the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives and covers the years 1911-1999.

This collection of West Virginia death records covers 1853-1973. Information varies, but can include name, gender, race, birth date, birth place, age, death date, death place, occupation, residence, marital status, spouse's name, parent's names, cemetery name, and date of burial.

This collection of Michigan death records covers 1971-1996. Information, when available, includes the person's name, gender, birth date, death date, and residence.

This index of Massachusetts deaths covers the years 1970-2003. Information, when available, includes the person's name, date and place of death, birth date, and birth place.

This collection of Ohio obituary records was compiled by the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center from various Ohio newspapers, and covers years 1812-2011. (Please note that there are some gaps in coverage.) When available, each record contains the name of the deceased, spouse’s name, age at death, city of death, date of death, date of marriage, date of birth, as well as a link to additional newspaper references.
