Clearfield County vital recordsClearfield County birth and death records are available from 1906 to the present from the Division of Vital Records in New Castle. Some birth certificates from 1893 through 1905 are available at the County for a fee of $5.00. Marriage certificates can be obtained at the Register of Wills at the County Courthouse in Clearfield. Certified copies are $1.00. Divorce records may be obtained at the Prothonotary Office in the same building; certified copies are $3.00. Clearfield County was created on March 26, 1804, from parts of Huntingdon and Lycoming Counties but was administered as part of Centre County until 1812.
