Ozark County, MO Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records

Ozark County vital recordsLocated in the heart of the Ozark Mountains in southern Missouri, Ozark County was established in 1841 and renamed to its current moniker in 1845. While the Ozark County Health Department serves as the local source of vital records, the department also refers the central State Department of Health and Senior Services which operates the Bureau of Vital Records that serves the entire state. Applications can be mailed to the Bureau upon completion and notarization, and individuals can email the office or call (573) 751-6387 with any further questions. The Bureau has birth records dated from 1910 and death records dated from 1948. For access to records from outside that scope of years, the Missouri State Archives has literally hundreds of millions of records of all types for the entire state, both at its Research Room in Jefferson City, and online via the Missouri Digital Heritage Project.
