Haskell County vital records date to Oklahoma statehood in 1907, when the County was formed. Record copies can be ordered for $15 from the Haskell County Health Department in Stigler, in person or by mail, or from the state Health Department, or online from VitalChek. Records for living persons are restricted. Although statewide recording of births and deaths was mandated in 1917, compliance was spotty until the 1940s. Marriage and divorce records are unrestricted legal records, maintained by the Court Clerk in Stigler. Historical records are available at the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City.
