Platte County vital recordsThe Pike County Historical & Genealogical Society, which was founded in 1945 and is located in Platte City, MO, operates a genealogical library that is housed within the Ben Ferrel Mini Mansion Museum at 220 Ferrel Street. The library is open from April 15th until October 15th on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 1:00PM until 4:00PM. Appointments can be scheduled outside those months and times by calling (816) 431-5121, and admission is free for members, and $5 per person for nonmembers. Additionally, the Platte County Recorder collects and maintains real estate, marriage, and other records. The Recorder's office is housed in Suite 70 of the Platte County Administration Building at 415 Third Street, also in Platte City. The Recorder department also utilizes the iRecord Search program which provides free access to property records dated after April 2005. Those needing access to records dated prior to that will need to visit the office in person.
