Individuals who wish to research records for Grant County, which has the sixth smallest population of any county in the state with only about 750 residents, will find the most success with the archives library maintained by the Nebraska State Historical Society in Lincoln, NE. The library is located at 1500 "R" Street and is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00AM until 4:00PM, and Saturdays with limited service from 8:00AM until 5:00PM. The Society maintains a huge amount of records and documents for all counties in the state. A number of records are provided online, as well, including property records from the late 1800s and early 1900s, census records, obituaries, and much more. The library itself has computer terminals available to the public, several microfilm readers, and secluded research areas, as well as library staff that can help with projects and finding records.
