New Hampshire marriage records are available, by written request, for a fee, and with proper photo identification, starting in 1640 from the Division of Vital Records Administration or from the town clerk where the license was issued. Records since 1989 can be obtained from any city or town running the Vital Records Automated software called NHVRIN. Registration to this site (http://nhvrinweb.sos.nh.gov/) is required. New Hampshire divorce records are available by written request, for a fee, and with proper photo identification, starting in 1808 from the Clerk of Superior/Family Division Court in the county where divorce was granted. Applicants for both types of New Hampshire vital records must include the signature of the requestor or notarized assignment of access from the registrant authorizing non-direct or tangibly related individual access and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Fees may be paid by personal or money order payable to the State Treasurer.
